     You're on vacation.  It is hot down here.  A variety of beverages are always needed. If you're just getting here and you don't have any beverages ready, "shame on you."  If you're still in the car, you can always stop at the Brew Thru. So folks, here it is... a list of where to get everything from liquor to blenders.  Where to find that specialty beer or special bottle of Merlot.  If you enjoy the finer side of libations, you've come to the right place.  We have it all so browse til your heart's content.  If you have extra, the locals are always thirsty.

Beer:

     You can find beer in almost every store here.  Everywhere from the drug store to the quick stop will have your average selection of domestic and imported beers.  If you are looking for something that is not mass-produced, there are a few stores to accomodate you.  For the beer connoisseur's out there, I recommend checking out Chips Market. Chip's has an amazing selection of beers and wine.

     If you're in a rush or want one of their famous t-shirts, stop by one of the Brew Thrus 5 locations.  All three major grocery stores, Harris Teeter,Food Lion, and Seamark Foods carry beer but the selection does vary widely between each chain.  Harris Teeter by far carries the biggest selection.  For a grocery store, they really carry a great variety of beer, including some good seasonal selections.  It makes 'one-stop- shopping a real possibility for choices other than liquor. For that, look below for one of the North Carolina ABC stores.

Liquor Stores:

Liquor is state regulated in North Carolina.  You will be looking for the state ABC store.  Remember this before you are on the way down, no liquor on Sunday.  If no liquor is not bad enough,  then remember that if you are fishing early Sunday morning and hoping to get beer, no beer till Noon...that is 12 pm on Sunday.  Plan accordingly.  Since you're gonna be in Dare or Currituck County, below are your closest ABC liquor stores.
